Iain has over 13 years’ experience in advising individuals, businesses and most importantly the individuals who drive business.
Iain has advised clients ranging from start up businesses to several of Northern Ireland's Top 100 companies. In taking care of the compliance for a client, Iain can drive the tax planning function to ensure that no more tax needs to be paid than is necessary and that all of your affairs are looked after consistently.
Iain’s expertise extends to structural planning, ongoing tax planning, remuneration planning, planning to finance your business and planning to exit your business. Iain will deal with HMRC on your behalf and has represented clients in the First and Upper Tier Tribunal for tax.

Paul Leonard
Associate Director
Having joined the team and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2017, Paul has furthered his experience in audit and added to the wide range of sectors which he has worked with.
As well as audit and accounts preparation, Paul also works in corporation tax and corporate finance projects.
Colin Porter
Senior Consultant
Colin joined the HCA team in January 2020. He has brought with him 30 years’ experience, covering practice (Medium and Small), industry and charity sectors.
Colin’s current role is in the audit, accountancy and taxation fields, ranging from small sole traders to multi-million-pound limited companies.

Due to HCA’s wide client field, his job will also cover Voluntary Grammar schools and Charities.

Rachel Young
Senior Associate
Rachel joined the practice in 2015. She has successfully completed her IATI qualification and is now in her final year of studying for the chartered accountants qualification.

She has the majority of her experience in accounts preparation and the completion of audits, but is now working primarily in tax and hopes to complete her Chartered Tax Advisor qualification.
Shannon Fay
Senior Associate
Shannon joined us in 2017 and following her successful completion of the Accounting Technician qualification continued studying to become a Chartered Accountant. Shannon has recently passed her final exams (FAE's).
Shannon has gained extensive experience assisting on external audits and in accounts preparation.
