Welcome to www.hca.group. We are the Hannaway Corporate Advisory (HCA) group of companies – HCA Chartered Accountants, HCA Business Recovery, HCA Corporate Finance and Magic Beans.
Our new branding builds on our history, our consistent approach across our specialist services, and our growth aspirations for the HCA group - a group that has its roots in Northern Ireland, but which has international reach through its membership of Russell Bedford International.

Our journey to date
When our Principal and past President of Chartered Accountants Ireland, John, retired from his 34-year career at PwC (25 years as a partner), he set about creating a new niche Corporate Advisory firm. Thus, Hannaway Corporate Advisory (HCA) was launched on 1 July 2013. Over the next few years, two specialised subsidiary companies, HCA Business Recovery and HCA Corporate Finance were formed. And in 2022, the innovative “Magic Beans” company joined our group, So, even though we are young we can assist you through all the stages of your business’s lifecycle.

Our ethos and values
Whilst our company logo is the product of the 4 a’s in the initial practice name, HannawayCA, our success to date is very much a result of John’s 4 ‘P’ principles. Our group ethos is that our Professional advice should be Practical, Personal to your individual needs and delivered Passionately. This ethos and attitude to client focus is very much instilled in all our staff and is clearly appreciated by those we are fortunate enough to serve. Indeed, all of our work to date has once from personal recommendation rather than from tendering.

Our staffing structure is purposely very different to the ‘traditional’ firm approach. We made the decision very early in our journey that we had to have high level, experienced experts to fully meet our clients’ needs. Across our group of companies, we have 6 Directors each with their own specialism. This ‘top heavy’ structure means we can offer our clients the level of expertise they would expect from a large mid-tier/top 4 firm but, with the personal care they would, and should, expect from a boutique practice.
